How to use MultiTimer
MultiTimer places several countdowns on one dashboard. Each timer has its own duration and controls, while the group controls can manage every visible timer together.
Create a timer
- Open the timer dashboard and select New timer.
- Enter a short, recognizable name such as “Deep focus,” “Pasta,” or “Warm-up.”
- Choose the hours, minutes, and seconds. Use at least one non-zero value.
- Save the timer. It appears as a new card on the dashboard.
Clear names are helpful when several countdowns are running together. A task name is usually more useful than a generic label such as “Timer 1.”
Start, pause, and reset
Select the main control on a timer card to start its countdown. Select it again to pause without losing the remaining time. Reset stops the countdown and returns it to the full configured duration. When a timer reaches zero, starting it again begins a fresh countdown using the same duration.
Edit or remove a timer
Editing lets you change a timer’s name or duration. Saving an edited duration resets that timer so the new value starts cleanly. Removing a timer takes it off the dashboard immediately; use this only when you no longer need its remaining time.
Use the group controls
Start all begins every visible countdown. Pause all freezes all running timers at their current values. Reset all stops every timer and restores its complete duration. These controls are useful for preparing a routine before it begins or pausing an entire session during an interruption.
Example setups
- Study: create timers for focused reading, a short break, practice questions, and review.
- Cooking: name timers after each dish or recipe stage instead of relying on identical alerts.
- Exercise: prepare warm-up, work, recovery, and cooldown countdowns.
- Meetings: allocate separate time for context, discussion, decisions, and next steps.
Troubleshooting and session limits
Keep the browser tab open while important timers are running. Timer state currently belongs to the active browser session, so refreshing the page, closing the tab, clearing site data, or restarting the browser may remove the current timers. If the display appears frozen, first check whether the timer is paused. If the page itself stopped responding, refresh it and create the timer again.
MultiTimer works best in a current version of Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari with JavaScript enabled. Very restrictive browser extensions may block application files; temporarily allowing this site can resolve that type of loading problem.
